YSDT believes art should be liberating, transformative, and accessible to all. Founded by Artistic Director Samar Haddad King in 2005, the company operates out of the US and Arab World to create invigorating education and performance programs that unite diverse audiences in the creative process. The company's repertory of 30+ original works for proscenium stages, film, site specific locations, and durational events uplift the stories of often underrepresented communities, and have been seen in 17 countries across 4 continents.
