Spring 2025 marks the launch of our 20th anniversary season! Together we'll celebrate twenty years of uplifting the narratives of Palestinian, Arab-American, immigrant, and refugee communities through live multimedia performance and engagement programs that increase access to - and promote understanding through - the arts. These programs - which include over 30 original repertory works created by Founding Artistic Director Samar Haddad King - have been seen in 20 countries across five continents. Since 2011, the company has worked transnationally between NYC and Palestine, and is committed to uniting diverse artists and audiences in the creative process, rooted in the belief that art should be liberating, transformative, and accessible to all.
فِرْقَة يا سمر للمسرح الراقص تعمل على إنتاج وإتاحة البرامج التعليمية والعروض الأدائية وتعزيز التفاهم بواسطة الفنون، من منطلق إيمانها بأهمية إتاحة الفن للجميع وبكونه أداة للتحرر والتغيير. أسست الفِرْقَة عام 2005 على يد مصممة الرقص والمديرة الفنية الفلسطينية الأمريكية سمر حداد كينغ في مدينة نيويورك. أنتجت الفِرْقَة أكثر من 30 عمل، عرضت محليًا في نيو يورك، وإقليميًا وعالميًا في 20 دولة في 5 مختلف القارات. منذ عام 2011 تنشط الفِرْقَة بين الولايات المتحدة وفلسطين، وتعمل على الجمع بين فنانين وجمهور متنوعين في العملية الإنتاجية.

special guest honoree Mariam Said. Mariam is a friend, mentor, and a treasured leader in the Arab American cultural community. Her untiring dedication to the role of culture in creating social and political change is an inspiration.

Waseem Alzer, the evening will feature performances from some of our favorite past works as well as a sneak peek at future projects, music, a dance party with music by
DJ Fatin, and of course, plenty of delicious Palestinian food and drink!
